Framework is a Swansea-based artists' collective, which was launched in February 2007 with Bring Music Bake Bread, a social action at Mission Gallery, and which has since staged exhibitions, residencies and artists' discussions. Framework seeks to build a sense of community for artists in the South Wales area, and to facilitate support for individual practices. Framework Social, a monthly event held in a working men's club, provides a space to show multidisciplinary live and interactive work. Framework encourages small, grassroots activity in Wales, and favours a sustainable art scene. Its current endeavour is Annexe, an exhibition of unselected work from this year's National Eisteddfod in Cardiff.
