Four

Since its inauguration in November 2005, Four has been devoted to the development of an uninhibited exploration of ideas, discourses and trends in contemporary art. The organisation's function is to promote and support the artists and curators who take part in its evolution. Due to circumstances beyond its control, Four lost its premises at the end of 2007. Four has recently acquired a new space on Capel Street, Dublin, which will feature a bookstore and a video and audio archive. The new site will also house two gallery spaces. Its 2008 programme begins in August with an off-site project by Rhona Byrne, hosted at the Kerlin Gallery. Meanwhile the inaugural exhibition is a solo show by Giles Round, curated by Georgina Jackson, and is followed by an exhibition of work by artist Sarah Pierce.
