Parade

Parade opened in 2006. The gallery was initiated to maintain involvement in art production and to explore the process of exhibition-making. Established with the traditional intention of offering artists a space to realise exhibitions, it also has an interest in the meeting and developing of a community of artists, curators and art professionals. Parade has worked on a sporadic programme of specific shows developed through dialogue, support and promotion. The recent programme includes: Three works in September, a solo show by Dan Rees; a group show by Matthew Darbyshire, Djordje Ozbolt, Alexander Tucker; and, in late 2007, The Death of Affect, curated by Matt Williams and featuring Keith Connolly, Alastair MacKinven and Hannah Sawtell. In May 2008, Parade will be presenting a group show of new paintings.
