Pere Ubu is an experimental rock music group formed in Cleveland in 1975. Despite many long-term band members, singer David Thomas is the only constant. Their music reflects interest in both experimental avant-garde music (especially `Musique Concréte) and raw, direct Blues-influenced Garage Rock.
Carnival of Souls is Pere Ubu's 18th album over a forty year career that has seen them break rules, confuse and continue to divide music critics globally.
Fourteen leading contemporary artists and creatives have been given decommissioned M16 assault rifles to produce artwork. The exhibition includes works by Peter Doig, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Sam Taylor-Johnson and Kate Moss. All artworks will be auctioned by Bonham’s in January with the proceeds going towards Peace One Day’s work in the Democratic Reupblic of Congo and Great Lakes Region.
