Screening: The Church of Expanded Telepathy

19 Nov 2017

For Tcoet, post-cyber feminism is a new form of thinking, doing and collectivising collaboration. It is beyond individualist/atomist/phallocentric western metaphysics and before the migration to full cyberfeminist Telepathy as a form of thinking and doing in a posthumanist form - a form of human thought acquiring nonhuman perspectives and speculative thought based on critical indeterminacy - TcoET

Research and design studio The Church of Expanded Telepathy (TcoET) present a screening of their recent collaborative film works. Selected for the Post-Cyber Feminist International, this programme marks their interest in telepathy and queer theory. The screening is followed by a discussion with the artists and writers Luciano Zubillaga and Emily Rosamond.

TcoET (The Church of Expanded Telepathy) is based in Seoul, London and Buenos Aires. TcoET’s  transdisciplinary methodology accelerates the intersection of philosophy, science and collaborative art practice. TcoET works with disautomatization and expanded telepathy® as a mode of direct knowledge within moving image as philosophy. TcoET encourages audiences to explore movement, time sense and sexuality within the imagination of posthuman, hyperspace and decolonial philosophies. TcoET was conceived by artists and writers Dew Kim and Luciano Zubillaga.

Emily Rosamond is an artist and writer. She is Lecturer in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London, and Joint Programme Leader on the BA Fine Art & History of Art. Her recent work focuses on character and reputation as speculative logics of assetized online personhood.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Dew Kim is no longer able to participate
