1 Jun 20172 Jun 2017

This workshop is free to attend but limited to twelve spaces as we want participants to be actively involved in the process. To book your space please fill out this form and answer a few simple questions.

This free two day workshop is an introduction to the fundamentals of animation and to get you animating as quickly as possible, and runs from 11am to 4pm each day.

Focusing on the technique of cut-out animation, the workshop shows you how to use found imagery to create characters and compositions that you can bring to life with animation. The technique are simple and aimed at beginners and those interested in animation. Everyone will create their own character or object that they will learn how to bring to life and modify, and the workshop will provide you with effective tools and techniques to animate with anything you have lying around, and create interesting ideas to then build upon.

The workshop is run by Marcus Armitage and Ignatz Johnson Higham, founders of animation collective OOF and graduates of the Royal College of Art’s Animation MA course.

We will aim to contact you regarding your place on the workshop by Friday 26th May.

Marcus Armitage is a BAFTA-nominated filmmaker whose films have won awards around the world. He makes work using multiple techniques for both personal and commercial projects.

Ignatz Johnson Higham is a filmmaker and designer, with many years of experience working with clients such as the Southbank Centre, School of Life and RADA.
