The ICA hosts a week of screenings as part of this year's festival with the best of independent cinema from around the world, including The Last Communist, a documentary essay on the life of Chin Peng, a leader of the outlawed Communist Party of Malaya.

Other documentaries include Babooska, a year in the life of a circus performer as she travels through Italy. We also have a one-off live performance by film artists Luis Recoder and Sandra Gibson who present their celluloid light works on 30 October.
