Honkasalo creates a dreamlike portal into the life of 14 year old Simo as he accompanies his criminal older brother Ilkka on a twilight journey through the dark streets of Helsinki. This is Ilkka’s final night of freedom before going to prison. Set amidst the criminal outskirts of Helsinki society, echoed in its stark, stylised black and white visuals, this is a powerful coming of age tale of a child’s fierce battle with adulthood.
