Rarely seen but much loved, Pat O'Connor's film of JL Carr's tale of a spiritual quest by two World War I veterans (Colin Firth and Kenneth Branagh) is beautifully adapted by Simon Gray. Both tranquil and uplifting, the tale is also very British and understated. We will be welcoming Simon Gray to the ICA to talk about his work on the film. Author and screenwriter Deborah Moggach and Booker judge John Mullan will join the discussion.
