LSFF: Radical Softness Through a Haptic Lens: Barbara Hammer and Chick Strand + Q&A

13 Jan 2018

This screening is accompanied by a Skype Q&A with Barbara Hammer in conversation with Selina Robertson of Club des Femmes

A combined retrospective of Chick Strand and Barbara Hammer, exploring the idea of 'radical softness'the power in being both abrasively feminine and openly vulnerable, subverting emotion from weakness to strengththrough a radically soft camera and Hammer and Strand's specifically haptic modes of filmmaking.
