Culture Now: Lynda Benglis

10 Feb 2012

American sculptor Lynda Benglis joins us for this lunchtime talk with ICA Director Gregor Muir to discuss her practice and the changing shape of culture in the 21st century.

Benglis is known primarily for her wax paintings and poured latex sculptures, and rose to prominence during the 1960s and 70s, a time when her singular practice both intersected with and transcended the categories of post-Minimalism and feminist art. Alongside her sculptural output, Benglis created a radical body of work in video, photography, and media interventions that explore notions of power, gender relations, and role-playing.
