Alex Hartley is a London-based photographer who introduces his practice into sculpture and installations. He is currently working on a proposal for Nowhereisland, a project for Artists Taking the Lead as part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad program.

Hartley is deeply interested in capturing naturally built environments and architectures, centering the significance of his practice on location, surfaces, and natural surroundings.
