Arlit, Deuxième Paris + Q&A

2 Dec 2008

In the small town of Arlit in Niger, the scandalous working conditions in a local uranium mine are uncovered. This film depicts the suffering of those working in the mines and connects their work to a bigger picture of global arms and demand for uranium. Crucially, the film lets us glimpse the dreams and the limited choices people have in Arlit.

The screening will be introduced by Leah Hibbin, an expert in the field of corporate social responsibility in the mining sector who has worked in Niger.
