This Week at the ICA
ICA Executive Director Gregor Muir picks his highlights from the week ahead.

Dear All,
We had an excellent weekend at the ICA with Publish And Be Damned this Saturday. Over 3,000 visitors attended, and I was delighted to see the ICA abuzz with enthusiasts for artist publications and imprints. Looking ahead, here are my top picks from this week’s events:
- Tonight, Tuesday 5 March, we have Juergen Teller in conversation with Bice Curiger and myself. Curiger is a Swiss art historian, critic, and curator at the Kunsthaus Zürich. She co-founded and edits Parkett, and has included Juergen Teller's works in her show Riotous Baroque, which will be shown this summer at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
- On the same evening I’ll be in conversation with Oscar Murillo at the Dover Street Arts Club, discussing his forthcoming exhibition at Carlos/Ishikawa and his participation in the ICA fundraiser on 19 June 2013.
- Continuing our season on photography and in conjunction with our current Juergen Teller: Woo! exhibition, we have Paul Outerbridge: An Artful Balance on Wednesday 6 March. This talk has Paul Martineau, Associate Curator (Department of Photographs) at the J. Paul Getty Museum presenting a survey of Outerbridge's career and exploring the photographer's struggle to unite his artistic and commercial work.
- Among films this week, please see Stranded In Canton, a 1974 documentary by photographer William Eggleston who picked up a Sony Porta-Pak and took to documenting the soul of Memphis and New Orleans in this pioneering and rarely-screened video work that is being shown on Thursday 7 March.
- And our Culture Now on Friday 8 March has Stephen Poliakoff, one of the most influential writers for the screen and stage in conversation with Geoffrey Colman, Associate Master of the Theatre Royal Haymarket and features writer for The Stage. They will be discussing Poliakoff’s career and his recent BBC television series Dancing on the Edge.
