Ticketing Terms and Conditions

  • Booking Fees

    A booking fee of £1 per ticket (capped at £2.80) applies to all online and telephone bookings. This does not apply to ICA Members or to bookings made in person at the ICA.

  • Concessions

    The concessionary ticket rate applies to disabled visitors, JSA claimants, senior citizens, students and Westminster residents. You may be asked to show evidence of this when booking or collecting your ticket.

  • Ticket Collection

    All tickets booked on the ICA website will be held at the Box Office for collection or are available via e-tickets (print at home or visible via your smart-phone or tablet). For collections you will need to show the credit/debit card used - please note this card must match the name and billing address associated with the booking. If you have booked concession tickets you must show the appropriate concessionary ID to collect your tickets.

    E-tickets will be scanned at the point of entry to the Cinema, Theatre, Gallery, Bar or Studio. You can either print your tickets at home or you can supply your smartphone or tablet with the PDF visible for scanning.

  • Ticket Return, Exchange and Re-sale

    For most ICA ticketed events, tickets may be returned to the Box Office no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the performance. Customers will be issued with a credit voucher for the full face value of the tickets which can be used to purchase tickets for future events on sale via the Box Office. Credit vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue. Please note that credit vouchers will automatically expire if not used within one year of the cancellation date.     Tickets may not be re-sold for profit or commercial gain. Tickets that have been resold are void and will result in refused entry. This includes all tickets purchased through unauthorised third parties and online auction sites.

    Tickets may not under any circumstances be altered, defaced or copied.

    The ICA is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by the ticket holder such as travel or accommodation for any cancelled, re-scheduled or amended events.

  • Duplicate Tickets

    In the event of tickets being lost and duplicates being required, please contact the Box Office on 020 7930 3647. Duplicates will be issued on the day of the performance only.

  • Refunds

    Refunds will only be issued in the event of a performance being cancelled or fundamentally changed. You will be contacted in the event of a performance being cancelled or if there is a major change to your chosen performance.

  • £3 Tuesday Cinema Tickets

    Cinema tickets every Tuesday are only £3 for ICA Members (£6 full price). Please note that some external film festivals, special events and screenings which include Q&As or introductions may not follow the Tuesday pricing scheme.

  • Matinee Screenings

    Selected matinee screenings throughout the week (before 6pm) are also available at £3/£6. Please note there are some exceptions including new releases, some external film festivals, special events and screenings which include Q&As or introductions.

  • Group Bookings

    Group bookings can be made via the ICA website or you can contact the Box Office directly to arrange purchasing tickets on 0207 930 3647.

UK: Allow 2-3 days working days
Europe: Allow 3-5 days working days
Rest of the World: Allow 7-14 days working days

Delivery

We will deliver the books ordered to the delivery address which you supply. All delivery times quoted are estimates only, based on availability, normal processing and delivery time.

Limited Editions

Please note that by purchasing a Limited Edition Artwork you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of sale.  

Please note that prices are subject to change. As is traditional in edition publishing, prices may rise as an edition begins to sell out. 

As soon as the purchase price is paid in full, you will become the owner of the artwork and responsibility for the artwork and the risk of damage or loss will pass to you. The Artist has worked closely with the ICA to produce the artwork on the understanding that it will be available for purchase exclusively through the ICA or any other outlet approved by the ICA. Therefore the artwork should not be purchased for resale and will be retained by you for your own personal enjoyment. Specifically, you may not sell or offer for sale the artwork on any auction website. Copyright of the artwork remains the property of the artist. Therefore you may not produce any image of the artwork or publish or submit for publication or reproduction any image of the artwork to any third party, including any websites, for any purpose.

Resources

Returns Policy

Any unwanted goods must be returned including a receipt as proof of purchase and be in re-saleable condition.  We reserve the right to refuse to refund any item that it is not in a good re-saleable condition. We cannot authorise a refund for any goods without proof of purchase and require proof of address for any refunds made. 

In cases of goods that are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied please return the goods to the ICA Bookshop. We recommend that you use registered post or recorded delivery to return goods to us to ensure safe delivery. 

The ICA Bookshop shall use reasonable efforts to replace damaged or incorrect goods but if replacement is not possible, or if an order is cancelled for any other reason, we will only be obliged to refund the full amount paid by you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Conditions of Entry 

The ICA reserves the right to: 

  • Change the advertised arrangements of any event or screening due to illness or any cause beyond the control of the ICA.
  • To refuse admission or to request that any patron leave the venue and take the appropriate action to enforce this right.

Event Recording and Filming

By buying a ticket or attending an event at the ICA, you give your consent to being filmed, audio recorded or photographed. Should an event be recorded this will be signposted. If you have any objection then please make yourself known to a member of staff. 

Latecomers

The seating of latecomers is discretionary. Admission is not guaranteed for all performances, though offered wherever possible. Please note the refunds or credit vouchers will not be made for late entry.

Hires or Third Party Events 

The ICA holds a number of third party ticketed events or hires. The ICA is not responsible for any cancellations or changes to programme that may occur. Third party hires or events may not be ticketed by the ICA therefore any quires regarding bookings must be directed to the point of purchase. The ICA reserves the right to refuse admission. 

Condition of Entry 

Only tickets bought from the ICA Box Office, its official website or from approved agents will be valid for admission.

Personal Belongings

Visitors are requested to keep their personal belongings with them at all times. The ICA is not responsible for any left or stolen property. Large bags and suitcases are not permitted into the Cinemas, Theatre or into events in other venues in the building. The ICA does not have a cloakroom so please do not bring such items with you to avoid being refused admission to your event.

Lost Property    

The ICA is not responsible for any property left on the premises. The ICA will hold lost property items for one month before a) destroying the item if it contains personal data or b) sending to a charity if the item does not contain personal data.

Photography, Audio or Film Recording 

Personal photography is permitted for some exhibitions. Please ask a member of staff if photography is permitted.  Professional photography is not permitted unless prior consent is agreed please contact us 020 7930 3647 for further information. 

Audio or video recording of any performance is prohibited. 

Children

Parents are reminded that not all events or exhibitions are suitable for children. Please check the relevant event or exhibition page for specific details before you attend.  

Age Restrictions

Admission for gigs is strictly for over 18s unless otherwise specified and appropriate ID may be requested.  

Café Bar

Entry to the Café Bar may be restricted for certain special events. 

The consumption of alcohol purchased at the ICA Bar is restricted to certain venues.

You must be over 18 to purchase drinks from the Café Bar - ID may be requested.

Terms and Conditions of Membership

All ICA Memberships are for the member’s personal use only.

Data Protection

By joining, members commit to the ICA holding their personal details relevant to membership administration.

Red Membership

Red members can book one ticket to all screenings (only one ticket to one screening per film title or production). Tickets can only be collected by the named individual on the day of the screening. Red members are required to show a photo ID alongside their membership card.

£16.66 Red Direct Debit Membership Terms and Conditions

You commit to 12 months of ICA Membership, £199.92 paid in 12 monthly Direct Debit instalments of £16.66, collected on or immediately after either the 1st or the 15th of each calendar month. If the ICA fails to collect any of the first 12 Direct Debit payments, you are liable to pay the missed payment using an alternative payment method. The membership may be suspended until the missing payment has been covered. After 12 months of membership have been paid for, the Direct Debit membership will continue on a monthly basis at the rate of £16.66 per month unless you cancel the instruction with your bank or building society.

Refunds are not offered if member benefits are not used during the duration of the membership, and the length of membership won't be extended if membership is suspended due to a missed payment. It is your responsibility to cancel the Direct Debit directly with the bank or building society if you do not want to continue membership, but this can only be done after 12 payments of £16.66 have been successfully collected.

Direct Debit memberships are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. Upon signing up you will be sent a confirmation to the email address you have provided that includes the details of the Direct Debit Instruction. The Advance Notice will also be sent to this email at least 5 days prior to the first Direct Debit, please note that a follow-up Advance Notice will be sent only if the date, frequency or amount of the Direct Debit changes from the original confirmation.     

Blue Membership

Please note that if you select a concessionary membership you must provide proof of eligibility on an annual basis, upon collection of your ICA Membership card. If you have selected a concessionary membership via Direct Debit it is your responsibility to cancel the Direct Debit directly with your bank, or follow up with the ICA if you are no longer eligible for the concessionary rate.  

Membership Card

All membership cards are strictly personal. Membership card must be presented with a valid photo ID when requested by ICA staff. 

If a monthly Direct Debit membership is cancelled before membership expiry, the membership card must be returned to the ICA.

Refunds

Refunds are not offered if the membership is not used during the duration of the membership.
