MORE INTERCOURSE

After the success of INTERCOURSE in 2011 came MORE INTERCOURSE: an evening of fun activities, raising money to support our artistic programme. This year, after a magnificent welcome by Johnny Woo, friend of the ICA Subodh Gupta held a live-welding session with a team from Flux Metal, creating unique sculptures that were auctioned to raise funds for the ICA, alongside works of art and special moments with artists who support the ICA. Guests then stayed to party with us 'til late.

Last year - thanks to special guests Jane & Louise Wilson - we successfully managed to restage one of the most compelling scenes in cinematic history with Battleship Potemkin on the Duke of York Steps. This year’s special guest artist Bob & Roberta Smith came up with the brilliant idea of recreating the Philadelphia training and steps scene from Rocky. On Friday 22 June, artists and supporters joined us to play Rocky at the ICA. The film has been edited by Bob & Roberta Smith, in his own inimitable style.
