Turner Prize winning artist Mark Leckey returns to the ICA on Wednesday 9 January to participate in our regular Artists' Film Club, screening a cross section of his moving image work. Leckey will also be present for a Q&A session after the screenings led by Steven Cairns, ICA Associate Curator of Artists Film and Moving Image.

On 31 January 2009 Mark Leckey’s live performance Mark Leckey in the Long Tail (2009) premiered at the ICA, and was later performed at the Abrons Art Center New York as part of MoMA’s Performance Exhibition Series. The work takes the form of a lecture that roams across television history (including the role of the BBC and the icon of Felix the Cat) and takes in the 'long tail' theory of internet-based economics. Leckey lectures from inside an installation, employing a revolving stage, that hovers between film set and sculpture.

Watch Mark Leckey in the Long Tail in a recording made of the performance at Abrons Art Center on his YouTube channel.

Mark Leckey's Artists' Film Club is in Cinema 1 this Wednesday 9 January.
