Iain Sinclair and Chris Petit introduce the opening screening of Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980), the monumental series directed for German television by Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
This coming weekend (16-17 November) provides the final chance to see the complete 14 episode series screened from remastered 35mm prints - the first time in the UK this has happened. The event is part of Iain Sinclair's 70x70 project in which the author curates a season of 70 classic films throughout his 70th birthday year.
