As the St John Sessions series' reputation has grown over the past three years, so too have opportunities outside of the church's stained-glass windows: an accompanying string of performances have been established in new venues across London, a record label and arts organisation has been formed to curate and release one-off performances from the world's sonic visionaries while international shows in Cairo and Beirut have set the tone for bringing together the best contemporary artists from across the globe. All of this is now housed under the larger umbrella entitled ThirtyThree ThirtyThree (formerly St John’s Sessions) – a double quip on both the sonic (full-length RPMs) and the spiritual (Jesus’ rather untimely demise).
