Where Theory Belongs

21 Jan 201529 Apr 2015

Where Theory Belongs is a series of ten lectures staged in collaboration with the Chelsea College of Arts Postgraduate Community and the CCW Graduate School, which places the excitement of theory back into the hands of the speaker and the audience

In an increasingly resistant culture of auto‐regulated art-speak, art theory is in a constant need for a reflective governance. This series will offer a platform that brings together: art theorists, anthropologists, sociologists, humanists, queer theorists, artists and political economists… theory will be addressed by those voices that write and speak it thereby suggesting Where Theory Belongs.

Speakers include: Stine Hebert, Federico Campagna, Camiel van Winkel, Andrew Copson, Yuko Hasegawa, Catharine Rossi, Ayesha Hameed, Sharon Kinsella, Michael Taussig and Jen Harvie.

This series is curated and convened by Dr. Stephen Wilson.

In partnership with Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW) Graduate School, University of the Arts London
