"I wish to dedicate my film to all the innocent children in the world - the casualties of the policies of dictators and fascists." Bahman Ghobadi

With the ICA's release of Bahman Ghobadi's new film Half Moon, we bring you a chance to catch up with his previous work. Shot on location in an Iraqi refugee camp, this was the first film to come out of Iraq since the collapse of the Saddam regime. Set during the days leading up to the US entry into Iraq, the story centres on the children struggling to survive in a harsh landscape where there are more landmines per square metre than anywhere else in the world.

Dir Bahman Ghobadi, Iraq/Iran 2004, 95 mins, subtitles, 15
