The Trouble with Censorship

20 Feb 2013

A panel discussion takes a closer look at the role of censorship within art, the media, and society, exploring themes of power and spanning areas of sociology, philosophy and political history.

Chaired by the Chief Executive of Index on Censorship, Kirsty Hughes, the panel will consist of media lawyer Mark Stephens CBE, who regularly advises our cultural institutions, auction houses and artists on censorship issues, Jennifer Higgie, a writer and co-editor of Frieze, and Helen Lewis, deputy editor of the New Statesman, which was guest edited by Ai Weiwei in late 2012.
