Artist biographies

• Diann Bauer

  Diann Bauer is an artist and writer based in London. Her work spans a range of disciplines and has been screened and exhibited internationally, including at Tate Britain, The Showroom and The Drawing Room (all in London). Bauer is involved in several collaborative projects including with Laboria Cuboniks with whom she wrote and published Xenofeminism, A Politics for Alienation in 2015.

• Ion Cotenescu

  Ion Cotenescu (aka VJ Cote) is a Bucharest-based visual artist combining spatial context and CGI. As a tech tributary to contemporary media platform vvvv, he has found himself branching out in his interests from visual syntax into interaction and light-design.

• Adda Kaleh

  Adda Kaleh is the music project of Bucharest-based artist Alexandra Pirici. She has a background in choreography and performing arts, but attempts to work undisciplined across different mediums, including film and music. Pirici represented Romania together with Manuel Pelmuş at the 55th Venice Biennale and her works have been presented at Tate Modern, Berlin Biennale, Van Abbemuseum and Centre Pompidou.

• Anna Mikkola

  Anna Mikkola is an artist, curator and writer. Her work engages with the tensions between human, nature and technology. Mikkola's work has been shown at Lighthouse in Brighton and at Jupiter Woods and Arcadia Missa in London, among other places. Mikkola is the co-founder of V4ULT, a platform that explores boundaries and interfaces, and the performative project Human Interference Task Force.

• Marcin Pietruszewski

  Marcin Pietruszewski is a Polish composer currently based in Edinburgh. He holds a MS diploma in Digital Composition and Performance from Edinburgh College of Art.  He works largely with synthetic sound and uses compositional techniques developed in contemporary electroacoustic and computer music. He also engages with computational linguistics, mathematics, dance and design.

• Xenharmonikôns

  Yoneda Lemma is Katrina Burch's quasi-causal brainchild, a sonic excavation site plotted to deepen the game of thinking with the universe.

  d-n-e (Donatas Tubutis & Katrina Burch) is a sleepwalking cru, staring into the modern abyss from a geometrical point of view. In opening up a general space of alternative passages and tones, an abyssal sonic folding of pointers and arrows, they erotically nurture the multi-modal tension spaces of permissible sonics.
