After the screening on 12 June, Rebecca Jameson hosts a Q&A with producer Joseph Lang

Following his controversial debut The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael, Thomas Clay returns with this brooding, mysterious film. Here Clay studies the relationship between a Danish filmmaker and his Thai girlfriend then, as the film shifts from black-and-white to colour, embarks on a new narrative, following a mafia enforcer searching for his brother.

Nods to David Lynch, Michelangelo Antonioni and Apichatpong Weerasethakul abound here, but Clay remains his own man, a director to follow because of, rather than despite, his uncertain destination.
