To celebrate the first anniversary of the Diesel Black Gold global flagship store on London’s Conduit Street, the ICA, in association with Diesel Black Gold, present an installation of video work by artist Hannah Perry. The off-site project sees Perry occupy the courtyard of the flagship store for one month with a large-scale video installation.

Hannah Perry is a London-based artist who works with video, printmaking, sculpture, installation and performance. She creates work responding to music and popular culture, while incorporating biographical notes and inflections. Collaging and juxtaposing collected material and self-shot footage in her videos, Perry constructs fast-paced narratives interspersed with on-screen texts that state personal anecdotes. Her installations often incorporate moving image, sound and printed imagery encompassing familiar visual languages that reference advertising and consumer culture.

Articulated around a series of in-store events, each lasting several weeks, the Diesel Black Gold Courtyard collaborates with creative partners from London’s art, architecture, music and design scenes.

Hannah Perry (born 1984, Cheshire, England) lives and works in London. Recent solo exhibitions include You’re Gonna Be Great at Jeanine Hofland, Amsterdam (2015) and Mercury Retrograde, currently taking place at Seventeen, London (10 October – 5 December 2015).
