Satoru is a 'neet' ("not engaged in employment, education or training"), living a reclusive life in the apartment of his single mother. One day, the mother's request, a young acquaintance attempts to coax him out of his shell. Debut director and lead actor Chikuma draws attention to a social phenomenon that might be more prevalent than one imagines. Made on a miniscule budget, the film is a perfectly realised miniature.
