Set in 1986, during the early days of Khomeini-era Iran, this adaptation of Freidoune Sahebjam’s bestselling book tells the story of a young woman who is accused of adultery and subsequently stoned to death. Seen through the eyes of a French journalist (Thin Red Line’s Jim Caviezel), the film captures the traditions of the village and the tensions between those involved, making for a complex and unforgettable film. A High Fliers release.
