The Man Without a Past

Aki Kaurismäki is openly admired by Jim Jarmusch for his celebration of bizarre, marginal characters and deadpan humour: for example, Kaurismäki's 1992 film La vie de bohème is referenced in The Limits of Control.

In this tale of a man who loses his memory after a vicious attack, the Finnish filmmaker strikes a perfect balance of mockery, absurd touches and tenderness.
