Lizard in a Woman's Skin

12 Mar 201017 Mar 2010

Lucio Fulci's delirious giallo thriller returns to give you an eye-opening barrage of surreal shocks. Brazilian genre queen Florinda Balkan stars as a socialite in Swinging London who is tormented by perverse and violent visions. Her hallucinations appear to bleed into reality when her neighbour is found brutally murdered, a crime she may have committed in one of her altered states. Ennio Morricone provides the perfect soundtrack to a damaged brain, while the trippy visuals may be familiar as the backdrop to My Bloody Valentine's recent reunion shows.

Please note: This version of Lizard In a Woman's Skin is the longest cut that's ever been made available, although the full restoration and remastering has yet to be completed. It has been assembled from different sources and will be screened from digibeta. This version was one of the sold-out hits of the recent FrightFest festival in Glasgow, and we can still guarantee a startling and sensational 'giallo' experience!

Founder of FrightFest and Italian horror expert Alan Jones will be at the ICA to introduce the screening on Saturday 13th March at 4pm.
