The Life and Legend of Austin Osman Spare with Phil Baker, 7pm
Artist, visionary and occultist, Austin Osman Spare’s career began in Edwardian celebrity and ended in 50s obscurity. Spare's biographer considers the success and failure of Spare, with special reference to demonology and interior decoration, and discusses Spare's life, roots and obsessions.
Set in the future, a savage trained only to kill finds a way into the community of bored immortals that alone preserves humanity's achievements.
