With Forest Whitaker giving a towering performance as Idi Amin in Kevin Macdonald's The Last King of Scotland, here's a chance to see the real thing. Director Barbet Schroeder created this intimate yet objective portrait with Amin's full blessing in 1974, just as the outside world was starting to become aware of the General's campaign of genocide. The result places the viewer uncomfortably close to 'human dynamite'.
