Join ICA Learning Associates SE1 United, who host a sonic showcase to share their autobiographical soundscape, Music To Live By, which was created in Elephant & Castle's Organick community recording studio with esteemed Afro-Hop Producer Timbo and Producer Nick 'Organick' Allen.
SE1 United will be joined by Head of Music Production at University of Westminster, Mykaell Riley, whose Black Music Research Unit explores and promotes the contributions made by ‘black music’ performers, songwriters, musicians and industry personnel. As a former member of renowned reggae band Steel Pulse, Riley has since worked on production for bands such as East 17, Bjork, Wet Wet Wet, Soul II Soul, Maxi Priest, Sinead O'Connor, Mark Morrison, Peter Andre, Gabrielle, Dina Carroll, Courtney Pine and others.
Artist, DJ and noisemaker Shenece Oretha (ORETHA) brings her mixture of music and samples to explore the ways in which DJing is a form of storytelling and lecturing, performing one of her compositions live as a contribution to the discussion about the creative uses of music and sound.
Shounde Adejuyigbe, Roemello Semper, Tyler King, Ricardo Lloyd, Felicia Anuguobi, Daniel Borode, Aidan Crichlow, Shannon Reid all contributed to the creation of the final soundscape.
