Throwing Shade (aka. Nabihah Iqbal) has been hailed by Dazed and Confused magazine as ‘London’s new alt-pop hope’. Drawing on iridescent strains of popular music, from African and Asian modes, to the grime-y axis of London’s contemporary sound narrative, Throwing Shade creates a diverse and abstract contemporary sound. She has released four records, composed music for the Turner Prize 2014, and is currently working on the soundtrack for a Belgian film (Spring 2016). Visit Throwing Shade's SoundCloud page.
