I Just Didn't Do It (Soredemo Boku Wa Yattenai)

On his way to a job interview, Kaneko is arrested for sexual harrasment on a crowded train in Japan and forced to sign a false statement. As Kaneko’s fate is decided, the trial experiences a series of unexpected changes that will determine his innocence.

Suo's film provides a visual, cinematographic guide through the Japanese court process and a critique of the country's legal system.
