Using footage shot by his subject, Herzog pieces together a portrait of Timothy Treadwell, the animal rights activist who for 13 summers lived in the Alaskan wild with grizzly bears as his companions. This is a fascinating portrait of one man's obsession which becomes a disquieting exploration of our uneasy relationship with the natural world.
