This Salon explores the activities and artistic strategies of start-up spaces as well as the tools needed to get your project off the ground.
The economic crisis and cuts to grants have given rise to the growing need of artists, curators, galleries and institutions to experiment with different funding methods. Many have turned to more independent and self-determined structures to get their ideas moving. Experimenting with new aesthetic approaches and alternative organisational structures, these creative practitioners have developed dynamic and innovative models to display and experience work.
