This Salon will take as its starting point the common ground of contemporary art and architecture as practices of projection, quotation, and spatialisation. Suspending disciplinary boundaries, the discussion will examine the production of space as a question of world making, where historical and material reference points form a topological relationship with space. Using specific examples, the speakers will examine technologies of production and forms of representation, asking how sculptural and architectural practices take shape in their own work.
Speakers include: Nicholas Brooks, Tom Emerson, Tim Ivison and Julia Tcharfas.
