This is a preview screening followed by a Q&A with director Paweł Łoziński, hosted by film critic Wendy Ide
In a therapist's office, an estranged mother and daughter slowly begin to speak. As the conversation continues, old wounds and deeply buried emotions gradually surface. The therapist guides them carefully throughout, bridging the distance between them.
Taking us to the heart of this painfully intimate scene, You Have No Idea How Much I Love You offers a nuanced mediation on family, vulnerability and the complexity of our relationships with those we love. It simultaneously reflects on the role of documentary film itself, probing its potential as a form of mediation and empathetic representation.
