This event will be hosted by Andrea Lissoni, Senior Curator of International Art at Tate Modern.
In contemplating her rich body of work, writer and filmmaker Salomé Lamas helps the audience to explore new areas of documentary filmmaking. She discusses common themes present both in her feature films and her previous shorts which test the boundaries between cinema and artist’s film. She explores issues around representation of memory and storytelling through images, as well as her unique approach to pre-production and her relationship to the shooting and editing of her films.
Frames of Representation (FoR): New Visions for Documentary Cinema 2017 is presented in academic partnership with CHASE (Consortium for the Arts and Humanities South-East England)
