Judy Wajcman discusses the impact of mobile communication technologies on our perception of time, as interrogated in her newly-published book Pressed For Time: The Acceleration of Life in Digital Capitalism (University of Chicago Press, 2015). Judy Wajcman is a Professor of Sociology at the London School of Economics. She is widely known for her work in feminist theories of technology, including authoring Feminism Confronts Technology (1991) andTechnoFeminism (2004).

Olia Lialina is in conversation with Karen Archey, discussing her pioneering work as a net artist. Net artist Olia Lialina graduated from Moscow State University as a journalist. A professor and leader of the New Media programme at Merz Akademie, Stuttgart, Lialina writes on new media, digital folklore and the vernacular web. Karen Archey is an art critic and curator based in New York and Berlin. She is Editor of e-flux conversations and the founder of Women Inc., a new feminist working group that responds to urgent feminist issues through events and group writing.
