Ashkan Sepahvand presents on his recent collaborative initiative, ‘the technosexual reading circle’. This ongoing project consists of a set of inquiries around notions of sexuality, technology, the future, alterity, the body/soul apparatus, contemporary sensual regimes, and pharmaco-pornographic politics.
In his work, Berlin-based writer, translator and researcher Ashkan Sepahvand traces associations from within the histories of somatics, the sensory, transformation, pedagogy, utopia, queerness, collectivism, ritual, performance, and the self. From 2012-2014 he was a Research Fellow for The Anthropocene Project at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. His work and writings have been presented at dOCUMENTA (13), Ashkal Alwan, and Former West, among others.
The Q&A with Ashkan Sepahvand is led by Helena Reckitt.
Erika Balsom introduces a screening of Harun Farocki’s four-part series Serious Games (2009–10). In this series Farocki captures the uses and implications of computer games in the training of US military.

A frequent contributor to Artforum, she is the author of Exhibiting Cinema in Contemporary Art (2013) and was co-editor (with Hila Peleg) of the publication for Berlin Documentary Forum 3 (2014). She is currently finishing a book about the distribution and circulation of artists' moving image, under contract with Columbia University Press.
