Fields, a five piece that started a couple of years back in a garden shed in Warwickshire, released their debut album, Everything Last Winter, in April to a rapturous response and have just toured right across the US and Canada (including a joyful set at Coachella). Tonight there will be female-male harmonies, subtle songs and sentiments and the presence of plastic crows and foam deer on stage plus crashing guitar and an escalation in volume and feedback. While the band themselves admit that they deal in the "darker emotions", it is certain that the melancholic sounds of Fields will elate.
