Oualata is a red town on the edge of the Sahara. In this oasis, three women have fun painting the walls of their homes. In a society dominated by religion, tradition and men, they express themselves without restriction. Thanks to the intimate way in which these women speak of their sexuality and desires, the film won an African documentary FNAC award and Best Documentary Award at the Real Life Documentary Festival Accra 2008.
Screening with short film Gubi, Fruit of the Desert.
