Every two years, the senior members of the Wo Shing Society - Hong Kong's oldest Triad - vote for a new chairman, a procedure steeped in almost 300 years of tradition. This time, however, the rivalry between the two main candidates threatens the Society's sense of honour and respect. A densely detailed and tightly constructed crime film that doesn't get distracted by flashy action, Election slow-builds towards a brutal climax.
