Previously at the ICA - Films
5 Oct 2013 – 6 Oct 2013
ICA Curator Matt Williams introduces the first cinema screening of Lutz Bacher's Do You Love Me? Taking place over two days, the video consists of her interviewing curators, artists, friends, and family about Bacher the person and Bacher the artist. Though Lutz Bacher is the starting point, the interviews often reveal more about the people being interviewed than Bacher herself.
Primary Information have recently made a publication that takes the form of transcripts from the videos interwoven with images of Bacher's artwork from the 1970s to the present as well as photos, letters, and ephemera.
Do You Love Me? was previously exhibited at TRI Gallery, Los Angeles (1995), Pat Hearn Gallery, NY (1995-96), and in the exhibition PLAYMODE (1998).
All films are 18+ unless otherwise stated.
