Recognised as a pioneer of European pop art and media art, German artist Thomas Bayrle discusses his varied practice. Bayrle has been working since the mid-1960s, developing works based on serial repetition and producing collages, paintings, sculptures, films and books that exhibit a deep-rooted interest in mass culture and consumerism.

Born in Berlin (1937), Thomas Bayrle now lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. Recent solo exhibitions include:
