Steve Watson will be joined in conversation by Kit Hammonds for this lunchtime talk.
Steven Watson is the founder of innovative magazine distributor Stack, which he started three years ago in an attempt to help independent publishers find a wider readership. The subscription service sends out a different independent magazine every month; subscribers never know what they're going to get next, but they do know it will be a beautiful, intelligent magazine they probably wouldn't otherwise have seen. Watson also co-founded the Printout events in east London. A keen champion of the UK and global magazine scene, Watson has written for and edited magazines for the last 10 years.
Kit Hammonds is a curator based in London. He is a co-founder of Publish and be Damned, a project in which he continues to be involved. He is a curator of Europe (to the power of) N, an international collaboration led by the Goethe Institut. Formerly Curator at the South London Gallery, Hammonds is a tutor on the MA Curating Contemporary Art programme at the Royal College of Art.
