Tickets for CTRL: Reprezent x ICA Festival are absolutely free. You can get a free ticket for the day (12pm-6pm), the evening (6pm-10pm), or both if you like! You only need one ticket to get you into all CTRL: Reprezent x ICA Festival events during your selected time, and you're free to wander between event spaces

Festival tickets will also be available on the door on a first-come first-served basis.

Reprezent Radio broadcast live from the ICA Theatre on FM, DAB and visuals. The day includes music, discussion and live performances from some of London’s most exciting talent.

Munya Chawawa and Nick Gibbons talk about the meaning behind the clothing with Fergadelic, the acclaimed graphic designer behind the infamous Palace Skateboards triangle focusing on hyperlocal fashion and the new entrepreneurs with DONE London and Elliot & Reece (SWAG LDN)

13.00–14.00

Lashawna and Mally talk about being a music entrepreneur with Moe and Kilo. They talk about J Husfrom Dem Boy Paigon to 30 under 30 and Culture Clashdiscussing how important managers are to a star's success, the effects of gang culture and breaking the law and asking: what was it about J Hus that made him such a big success?

15.00–17.00

Scully & Joe Walker talk barriers to black musicians, Marc Williams (Founder of Oddchild Music) talks about what the barriers were in the 70s and 80s and whether things progressed or got worse, the advent of gangsta rap and its impact on perception, how Brixton Academy rewrote the rules of live entertainment and how black artists were treated.

Panel guests Alex Hoffman (Noisey/Thump) and Akinola Davies (Just Jam/NTS) talk Grime 1.0, So Solid Crew at Number One and discuss how venues were locked off to artists like Skepta and Stormzy, now in the top ten; Parris OH (Sony Head of Promotions for Black Music) discusses Tradition X Innovation – DIY music and responding to a changing industry, the power of platforms (online press and streaming), artist development and opportunity and ask: how are labels changing and how can the sound of young London be supported more?

17.00–17.45

Eliane talks to Big Zuu, Capo Lee, Ghostly, Elf Kid and Vision Crew about the underground culture in London, rejecting traditional routes to release and the impact of radio on culture.

CTRL is a free, one-day festival which celebrates the cultural and creative explorations of young London through a special programme of events including filmmaking, poetry and photography workshops. It coincides with the ICA exhibition: Alasdair McLellan & Lev Tanju: The Palace, showcasing previously unseen imagery by renowned photographer Alasdair McLellan of the Palace Skateboards’ team.
