Batmacumba

Batmacumba takes over the ICA for another packed evening of bombastic Brazilian sounds and short films. In the bar DJ Cliffy and guest mix up a cocktail of swinging Brazilian sounds. In the cinema there will be a screening of short films by the Recife-based director Kleber Mendonca filho whose work has been presented at several prestigious festivals including Cannes, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Brief Encounters (England) and Interfilm (Berlin). Films to be shown include A menina de Algodao, Vinil Verde and Electrodomestica.
