Sam Dwyer is one of the unsung heroines behind some of the best music documentaries in recent years. Her theatrical feature credits including Marley with Kevin Macdonald; George Harrison: Living in the Material World with Scorsese; Submarine with Richard Ayoade; and Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten with Julien Temple. She also worked on Temple’s Dr Feelgood documentary Oil City Confidential.
Working as Archive Producer, Dwyer searches in every nook for archive gems, from attics with home movies by amateur filmmakers to archives, and even online. Her role is to find great footage based on a director’s brief, source good quality clips, then license the clips for use.
“Much credit must go to Sam Dwyer, Archive Producer, for her excellent selection of images of the life and times of Strummer that provide a rapidly moving kaleidoscope of a fascinating era and its young people”. Praise for The Future is Unwritten in The Blurb

Sessions are well illustrated with clips or other media, and with much time for questions, these masterclass labs give the audience an opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the industries’ exceptional newer talents.
